Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are trying to remain upbeat despite it looking likely that their side is now going to miss out on the play-offs this season.
The Whites had been looking good for the top six but losing to Wolves and Burton respectively back-to-back has left them with some real ground to make up before the end of the campaign.
Of course, they’re not giving up but many are thinking about the future now with them in the second tier for 2017/18.
Even so, they’re hoping that the future is going to be bright under Garry Monk with him showing that he can galvanise the team to challenge.
The future, then, isn’t completely bleak and, according to Football Insider, the club have already signed someone for the coming years, even if they haven’t officially announced it themselves.
Indeed, the report suggests that Paudie O’Connor, a defender, was signed from Limerick last month and is currently part of the U23 side at Elland Road.
