Roofe doubles his tally, create healthy lead at top of table: Leeds’ dream September
Leeds United have certainly come on leaps and bounds under Marcelo Bielsa as they continue to push towards automatic promotion.

The Whites found themselves in a spot of bother last season under Paul Heckingbottom as they struggled to ensure consistency throughout the campaign. But, things have changed since Marcelo Bielsa rocked up at Elland Road, with promotion to the Premier League now in their sights.

Indeed, the Championship club managed to splash the cash this summer as they drafted in a number of quality and proven players who will help them go all the way this season. The additions of Barry Douglas, Patrick Bamford and Lewis Baker delighted supporters and it’s clear to see why as they’ve had their say on proceedings so far this season.

But, enjoying a successful September will be vital in terms of their push for promotion as they won’t want to drop off the pace and lose any momentum that they’ve already gained.

With that in mind, here is the dream September for the Whites…

KEMAR ROOFE DOUBLES GOALSCORING TALLY

Kemar Roofe has been in the form of his life so far this season as he continues to spearhead Leeds United’s push for promotion to the Premier League.

Indeed, the Englishman has already found the net on a number of occasions this season and he will be desperate to keep this run going to help his side reach their targets.

So, if the forward was to double his tally during the month of September then Leeds United will be well on their way to enjoying an even better month than the last, with a number of other players contributing on the field as well.

CREATE HEALTHY LEAD AT TOP OF THE TABLE

Leeds United currently find themselves in a promising position and have the opportunity to create a healthy lead at the top of the table if they can manage to ensure consistency.

Wolverhampton Wanderers proved that it was vital to create a lead at the top of the table to secure promotion last season, so it just goes to show that the Whites could be well on their way come the end of September.

So, the Championship club will be desperate to replicate the form that they’ve shown over the course of August in order to mount an unassailable lead at the top of the table, with Marcelo Bielsa looking to join his close friend Pep Guardiola in the top-flight of English football.
