Shinji Okazaki is a striker Leeds must seriously consider in January - Leeds United

Leeds are starting to look like proper promotion candidates after every game that passes, such has been their impressive form.

Elland Road is a much happier place compared to last season now that their beloved team has made massive improvements on the pitch.

Of course, all masterminded by the brilliant Marcelo Bielsa, Leeds have turned themselves from promotion hopefuls into genuine contenders.

Their play on the pitch has been great yet there is a belief that with some strong additions in the January transfer window, Leeds could quickly cement their place in the top flight next season.

What better way to do that than by signing some players with Premier League experience – Shinji Okazaki for example.

The Leicester City forward, (who is valued at £5.4 million on Transfermarkt) is a brilliant, hard-working, goal-getter that would improve Leeds’ overall squad.

With Kemar Roofe, Patrick Bamford and Shinji Okazaki, the Whites can safely say that they have one of the best set of attackers in the Championship, who each individually bring something different to the team.

Even at the age of 32, Okazaki is still constantly hassling defenders when given the chance to come off the bench for Leicester.

However, just one start in the Premier League will surely most likely result in the Japanese forward leaving before his contract is up in the summer.

Leeds would do well to beat any competition to sign him, considering the work-rate he gives you and his general ability to score goals from any situation.

There are plenty of games still to be played during this Championship season, meaning the more quality Leeds can get in their squad, the better.
