Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are starting to feel nervous about their play-off hopes this season.
The Whites had been confident after their win over Brighton last month but since they have lost to both Reading and Brentford to leave themselves looking over their shoulders.
Of course, things are far from over with them still in the top six but promotion from the play-offs is all about momentum and that is something that must be addressed ASAP.
Garry Monk has work to do, then, though his post-match comments suggest that all he wants for his side is a bit more luck. As quoted by Phil Hay on Twitter he said:
Monk said Leeds had enough chances to get back into the game early in the second half. “What we needed was for one of those to go in.”

These words, then, generated quite the response and so, with that in mind, here’s the best of the reaction:
@PhilHayYEP What we need is 2 up top

@PhilHayYEP What we needed was not to concede two goals in first.

@PhilHayYEP Really? I thought winning football games was about not scoring goals?

@PhilHayYEP Beyond Wood’s goals, that narrative sums up our season, either no shots on target, or so many “coulda”, “shoulda” been goals.

@PhilHayYEP Drop Hernandez and bridcutt, bring in roofe and antonsson
— Paul Seaton (@PaulSeaton5) 4 April 2017
@PhilHayYEP Was it Monk or Michael Owen that made that statement?
— Michael Graves (@gravesie363) 4 April 2017
@PhilHayYEP Obviously! They were the better team simple as, should have been 6-2
