The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern want to see young Lewie Coyle given a chance in the first-team at Elland Road this season and aren’t happy with reports in the Yorkshire Evening Post that claim he could be loaned again.

New Fleetwood Town boss Joey Barton is keen on bringing Coyle back to Highbury stadium after a very successful loan spell with the club last season saw him make 42 appearances, register four assists and pick up both the player’s player and supporters’ Player of the Season Awards after a superb campaign. Now though, the Whites want to see Coyle given a chance in the Championship under Marcelo Bielsa.
Next season Bielsa is expected to experiment with a three at the back system at Elland Road and that could provide Coyle with the chance he needs to impress at right-wingback. However, with both Luke Ayling and Gaetano Berardi it’s hard to predict whether Coyle will be called upon. If the fans were in charge, Coyle would be a starter with Ayling as one of the three and Berardi shipped out as soon as possible.
With that being said, here are the views of the fans:
Don't know what Bielsa thinks of him but I'd hope he'd get a run in the first team this season!

Why would he want to play for a BTEC Morrissey.

We were caught out horribly last season. The lads gone out on loan with the right attitude and done himself no harm. Time he's retained and given match time in the cups and covering for injury or just to rest Ayling if needed.

That would be nuts…..best RB we have…

The lad deserves a chance at the championship now with Leeds surely.

If we play with wing backs next season, I think he’d be perfect, with Ayling playing in a central 3

I wouldn’t bet on it Joey.

As you can see, the Whites in the Tavern are all keen on keeping Coyle at Elland Road, it’s just a matter of seeing whether Bielsa is in agreement.
