The Leeds United fans here in the Transfer Tavern aren’t quite sure as to what to expect from this summer. Indeed, the punters propping up the bar were happy to see Marcelo Bielsa linked with a move to Elland Road, though recent suggestions Steve Bruce could be a target didn’t prove as popular.
With that in mind, reports from Phil Hay in the Yorkshire Evening Post suggesting the Whites are keen on a move from Matej Vydra of Derby County have only heightened the debate amongst our resident Yorkshiremen. He, along with Abel Hernandez, are reportedly of interest to the Elland Road giants as they look to strengthen their frontline.
The Rams are understood to be open to selling Vydra as they rebuild under Frank Lampard, despite the fact he bagged 21 goals in the East Midlands last term. That kind of record has, obviously, excited our local Leeds lot, who would be confident about promotion if he a deal could be sealed.
Having said all that, here’s a look at the reaction online.
would be bloody ridiculously good
