Leeds United fans here in the Tavern will be hoping that their side can secure promotion next season, with the summer transfer window being of huge importance.
The Whites will be disappointed with how their season panned out as they failed to make the most of a promising position towards the start of the campaign. However, their attention will now turn to the summer transfer window as this could hold the key to success next season.
Indeed, a striker is a must for Leeds United in the summer transfer window after struggling for consistency at the pinnacle of their attack, with many of our local residents wanting to see Martyn Waghorn brought to Elland Road. Interestingly, the Ipswich Town forward is currently valued at £1.35 million (by Transfermarkt), so Leeds may be able to lure him to the club for a small price in the summer transfer window.
With that being said, to go up, Leeds United need to do their absolute best to sign Martyn Waghorn in the summer…
Encouragingly, Martyn Waghorn enjoyed an incredible season at Portman Road as he established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the Championship, with 16 goals to his name and 13 assists.
Indeed, the Englishman would be an incredible signing for Leeds United as he can ensure consistency and will always find a way to score.
And, having seen Caleb Ekuban, Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Samuel Saiz struggle for consistency at times, making a move for the 28-year-old would provide attacking security and could quite easily propel them into the Premier League next season.
