Two Premier League players Leeds United can target in the January transfer window

Leeds United will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend after losing their first match of the campaign against Birmingham City last weekend.

The Whites have been superb so far in the Championship, and manager Marcelo Bielsa can be pleased with the impact he has had at Elland Road so far.

The Leeds fans will no doubt be hoping to see their club continue with their momentum over the coming months, which promises to be a massive test of their credentials as the busy winter period that English football is so well known for really begins to take hold.

With that, comes the January transfer window and the option of bringing in new players who might benefit the squad and help get the team over the line as they look to finally win promotion back to the top flight.

Leeds are bound to be one of a few clubs looking to add more talent, and with that in mind, we took a look at TWO Premier League players who Leeds could look to sign in the January transfer window…

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

The Everton forward has played his part this season for the Toffees but big question marks remain about his overall place within the starting XI.

Often used as a sub and as a replacement when others are injured, Calvert-Lewin will no doubt be keen to cement himself as a regular, and the only way to do that is to impress over a period of time in the first place.

Adding goals to the squad will be key for Leeds, and the Everton man might well see a move to Elland Road as something which can benefit his career in the long term.

Sam Gallagher

Another striking option the Whites could look to add to their ranks is Southampton youngster Gallagher.

The highly-rated forward has long been courted as someone who has the potential to really develop into a top striker, but despite a host of clubs wanting to sign him in the summer, he has remained with the Saints.

A January move would appear inevitable, and joining a club the size of Leeds could well be a brilliant move.
