Leeds United: Fans show their support for Patrick Bamford after Twitter post - Leeds United

Leeds United fans were showing their support for Patrick Bamford after the centre-forward posted a message on Twitter about a legendary Nottingham Forest figure.

Yesterday was the eighth anniversary of former owner Nigel Doughty’s death with the club’s number nine taking to social media to post his condolences with a few heart emojis. Bamford did play for the Nottinghamshire side during the 2011/2012 campaign with the 54-year-old passing away in February of that season.

One fan talked about the ace’s commitment levels.

With just two goals in his last six games in the Championship (via Transfermarkt), he’s been under pressure in recent weeks with his form being called into question by a pundit. Former Elland Road defender Danny Mills hit out at the striker for ‘similar failings’ after his performance in the 1-0 loss at home to Wigan Athletic (via Football Insider).
