Leeds have taken their early pre-season woes and flipped them on their heads by making a great start to the Championship.
Marcelo Bielsa has brought an element of class to Leeds which is something rarely seen at Elland Road in recent years. Their managers have chopped and changed, their players likewise but the fans, (who have always remained supportive) are getting a really good feeling that Bielsa is the man to take Leeds to the next level, and by that they mean the Premier League.
To do that requires strong squad depth seeing as the Championship is 46 games long so a centre-back cover like Younes Kaboul, (who is valued at £1.8 million on Transfermarkt) would be a good addition to strengthen Leeds’ promotion hopes.
The French hard-man has been an established Premier League player for some time now but at the age of 32, Watford will soon be unable to keep giving him the game-time he desires. In that case, a move down a level to help Leeds could be an intriguing move for Kaboul and an offer worth considering.
Last season he made just two appearances due to recurring injuries but his efforts the season before when he played 25 games showed the kind of defender he is and that is something Leeds would be smart to add into their team. He is a physical, powerful centre-back that isn’t afraid of going through a player and will do anything to help the badge he belongs to.
Warriors are exactly the kinds of players required in the Championship and with game-time not likely to return this season either, why not join a team on the rise in order to help their promotion bid…
