Leeds know that they need to push through some transfer dealings to have any chance at remaining top of the table.
Elland Road has been full of happy fans this season but the New Year hasn’t been so kind to Leeds, as they may potentially be slipping.
Results need to improve again should the Peacocks wish to remain top of the table and that can be done by bringing in some new talented players.
All over the pitch, improvements could be suggested but none would be as helpful to Leeds than them signing a striker.
Kemar Roofe has done incredible things in front of goal but as competition for him, Leeds should continue their interest (reported by Championat) in Spartak Moscow’s Ze Luis.
Ze Luis, (who is valued at £6.3 million on Transfermarkt) would be a great option for Leeds to have alongside the likes of Bamford and Roofe.
Leeds are generally a well-balanced side but their squad is slim and seems that one injury could be very problematic for Marcelo Bielsa.
So with that in mind, Leeds need to recruit another striker for cover and the ability of Ze Luis could shine through and even allow him to be a regular on the team-sheet.
The Cape Verde international is often very clinical, as demonstrated by the 11 goals he has scored in all competitions this season. Not only on a personal note but his general team-play is impressive, with Ze Luis not afraid to track back and help his team defensively if they need it.
He really does have the potential to be a key player in Leeds’ promotion bid and it would be a very smart addition for Marcelo Bielsa.
