Middlesbrough have been in incredible form so far this season as they continue to chase an automatic promotion place.
Indeed, Boro have been completely redefined under Tony Pulis in the current campaign as they remain one of the favourites for the Championship title. And, it looks as if one of their summer signings is looking to make an impact, as according to the Express and Star, Danny Batth is ready for work at Middlesbrough.
Danny Batth admits there is ‘a lot of hard work ahead’ of him as he aims to make an impact at new club Middlesbrough.
The 27-year-old joined on loan from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers during the summer transfer window and had this to say after joining Boro:
“We’ve got a lot of hard work to do between now and the end of the season and hopefully we will be there or thereabouts.
“Hopefully I can add to an already experienced dressing room we’ve got here at Middlesbrough, fit in and enjoy it. I’ve seen the lads play a few times on the telly, the manager’s got a lot of experience and it’s a great set-up.”
Danny Batth could prove to be a great asset for Middlesbrough in the current campaign as they have lacked leadership at times. Indeed, the Championship club often operate with three central defenders, so Pulis now has the luxury of choosing from a larger pool of defenders.
The Englishman’s experience was crucial in Wolves’ promotion to the Premier League even when he wasn’t featuring on the field, so he should have the same effect at the Riverside Stadium.
