The newly promoted Premier League side have confirmed the news on their official website that they have signed former Man City striker, Alvaro Negredo, on a season-long loan deal from Valencia.
The deal for the experienced striker is subject to the relevant paperwork which the club say will be completed shortly.
The 30-year-old will bring a wealth of experience to Aitor Karanka’s side and certainly knows where the goal is having scored 112 goals in La Liga in 264 appearances.
The striker is no stranger to the English game, winning the title with Man City in 2014 following a £16.4 million move from Sevilla, during his time with the Sky Blues he scored 23 goals in 48 appearances.
The Spanish international will now join the rest of the Boro squad at their pre season training camp in Marbella.
