Middlesbrough will be desperate to secure another three points at the weekend as they take on Thomas Frank’s Brentford at Griffin Park.
Boro have come on leaps and bounds under Tony Pulis in the current campaign as they continue to chase down an automatic promotion place, with consistency not an issue at this moment in time.
Sadly, a couple of the club’s more fringe players could be living out their last couple of months at the club with the January transfer window on the horizon. Of course, with Tony Pulis already identifying a settled side at the Riverside Stadium, it’s clear to see who has no future at the club.
With that in mind, these TWO Middlesbrough players only have two months left at the club…
Rudy Gestede has wasted away since making the move to the Riverside Stadium back in January of last year as injuries and a lack of first team football has taken its toll.
The forward has featured five times for Boro in the current campaign but hasn’t been able to find the back of the net, which certainly hasn’t helped his cause.
So, with the January transfer window on the horizon and the likes of Martin Braithwaite, Jordan Hugill and Britt Asombalonga all ahead of him in the pecking order, it’s about time he looked at moving away.
Ashley Fletcher has established himself as one of the hottest prospects in English football over the years, but he is still yet to live up to expectations since making the move to the Riverside.
Sadly, the 23-year-old has only featured eight times in the current campaign, despite scoring three goals in the EFL Cup earlier on in the campaign.
Therefore, with the striker having to spend most of his time grinding out performances in the Premier League 2, it’s about time he decided to move out on loan to seek regular first team minutes.
