Our Middlesbrough fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really looking forward to seeing their side get going in the Championship this season as they think they are the ones to beat for the title.
The men from the Riverside Stadium were relegated from the Premier League last year, of course, but have kept most of their squad together and spent well in adding to it.
As well as that, they have Garry Monk in charge now and so all the pieces are there to be put together in order to make a promotion winning campaign happen.
Monk, then, will be looking to make sure he is the man that guides them to the Premier League and he certainly seems ready for the campaign – based on his recent tweet.
Fans, meanwhile, reacted to this and so here is the best of what has been said:
Good way to end pre-season & introduce our project to a supportive Riverside. Now for the first game of what’ll be a very tough season. #UTB pic.twitter.com/TTOC5dIdMh

Why do the numbers on the shirts still have the premier league logo on them?

Good to some attractive football, pity about the boo boys for gaston but he knew it was inevitable after his lack of professionalism
