Our Middlesbrough fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really looking forward to seeing what their side can do this season in the Championship.
Though, of course, they’d rather be gearing up for a Premier League season, the men from Teeside are still looking good to have an exciting year in the second tier under Garry Monk.
Indeed, much of their squad has been kept together and the former Swansea manager has also spent some decent money so the onus is on him to try and get the club promoted.
How he does, then, remains to be seen but he’ll certainly back himself and the fans are more than likely going to stick with him too – especially if they get off to a flyer.
Monk, indeed, decided to tweet about everyone pulling together after speaking to fans at the club’s ground and so here is the best of that reaction:
Great night with our fans at the Riverside. Good to see everyone looking forward to the start of the season & getting right behind us. #UTB pic.twitter.com/t5MUnP6zEr
