Jordan Hugill and Paddy McNair must start under Pulis against Norwich City

Middlesbrough have been one of the form teams in the Championship so far this season, but they couldn’t find a way past Leeds United last time out.

Indeed, Boro have been completely redefined under Tony Pulis in the current campaign, with promotion to the Premier League well within their reach if they keep on grinding away.

However, Middlesbrough will have to travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich City in their next Championship encounter. The Canaries will have their eyes on a play-off spot despite a poor start to the current campaign, so it won’t be easy for the Boro away from home.

Nevertheless, Tony Pulis has some decisions to make in terms of team selection, with a couple of players possibly forcing their way into the side.

With that in mind, these TWO Middlesbrough men must start today…

Jordan Hugill

Middlesbrough signed Jordan Hugill on loan from Premier League side West Ham United during the summer transfer window, but the forward has had to settle for substitute appearances so far.

However, supporters are well aware of his ability in the Championship having witnessed his goalscoring form during his time at Preston North End, so they’ll be hoping he can discover some of that form at Carrow Road later on today if he gets the nod over the inconsistent Britt Assombalonga.

Paddy McNair

Paddy McNair was Sunderland’s standout performer during their relegation season last time out in the Championship, which earned him a move to Middlesbrough.

However, the Northern Ireland international has been pushed aside by Pulis in the current campaign and is rarely called upon from the substitutes’ bench.

But, with a Norwich City side that love to thread a few passes together in front of the opposition’s defence up next, the 23-year-old will help snuff out any attacks by intercepting the ball.
