A lot of Leeds fans expected Patrick Bamford to come in as an automatic starter when he signed for the club from Middlesbrough over the summer. However, Marcelo Bielsa has been unable to drop Kemar Roofe with the striker in unstoppable form. Bamford has claimed that he doesn’t mind biding his time for a place in the team and you can read his comments on The YEP.
“He’s been brilliant.” £7m signing Patrick Bamford ready to bide his time on the bench after watching Kemar Roofe hit form for Leeds United:https://t.co/ukC7avkXLt

Bamford got himself up and running at Elland Road when he scored after just 27 minutes into his first start for Bielsa’s side against Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, however, he could have a bit more of a wait before he gets a chance to do that in the Championship as he’s currently behind the brilliant Kemar Roofe in the pecking order in Bielsa’s 4-1-4-1 system that has torn both Stoke and Derby to pieces.
Whilst Bamford will be aiming to et some game time in the Championship sooner or later it’s imperative that the feelgood factor around the club is kept at all costs. The two strikers will have to share the goalscoring burden whatever happens and considering the difference in their styles of play, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see Bielsa use them up front together at some point throughout the season.

I like this, no stropping and throwing the toys out of the stroller
Tbf, Bamford is a few weeks behind everyone else with the time he arrived
They’ll both get plenty of game time with the tempo they’re expected to maintain in this league over, what, 50 games + ? We can no longer consider KR a stand in striker, he did well there last season too, when asked, but he’s really firing now.

Good to and Bamford will get his chance.. just feel we are a bit light when suspensions etc kick in… But I believe in Bielsa and his team behind him..

Great to hear the team spirit – it's about the team winning and everyone will have their part to play. He will get his chances for Def just needs to get his head down. Great to have such quality for competition

As you can see, the supporters are loving Bamford’s attitude and will be keen to see the ex-Chelsea man on the scoresheet for the club a few more times this season.
