Leeds fans on Twitter couldn’t get enough of Pablo Hernandez against Boro yesterday

Yesterday, the Championship’s early kick off saw Leeds United travel to Teesside to take on Middlesbrough at The Riverside Stadium. It was a clash that promised to be a cracker, and whilst the Whites failed to take home all three points, they were delighted with the performance and the result, with Pablo Hernandez starring throughout.
Remarkable stats from Pablo Hernandez yesterday – on the bench until half-time but finished with more touches/passes than almost every player in the pitch. Superb accuracy at long range too. Here’s a look at his performance:https://t.co/DisZGN732l

Marcelo Bielsa has put a lot of faith into Pablo Hernandez this season. The Spanish midfielder has been used as both an attacking midfielder and a winger, and yesterday saw him thrive whilst playing centrally. The experienced Championship star was at his sublime best when he faced Boro and the fans will be hoping for more of the same as they prepare for a game at home to Swansea on Wednesday.
The stunning thing about Hernandez’s performance yesterday was the fact that he managed to rack up an obscene amount of touches and passes despite playing 45 minutes than the majority of the rest of the players. Phil Hay of The Yorkshire Evening Post has detailed some of the statistics from Hernandez display, and if you’re a Leeds fan it will make for some very attractive reading.

That perfect 40 yard through ball to Bamford 10 yards out & with just goalie to beat deserved an award.

He’s just class and we are incredibly lucky to have him. Clarke can learn so much from him hopefully.

Keep him bubble-wrapped until the end of the season. If we lose Pablo then we've lost the league

He was back on form yesterday. Made us a much better team 2nd half.
