Leeds United are in hunt for promotion this season, with Thomas Christiansen’s men lying just a single place from the playoff places.
In search of a long-awaited promotion back to the Premier League, fans here in The Transfer Tavern are keen to see owner Andrea Radrizzani continue his fine work at the club by opening up the coffers this month, and it appears their prayers may be answered by the signing of Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Forshaw, who is reportedly having a medical at the club on Thursday morning.
However, Leeds also need additions at the back, and specifically on the left-hand side, and should look to raid Boro once again for wantaway Brazilian, Fabio.
The player had expressed a desire to depart The Riverside Stadium at the start of the month, and with Leeds looking likely to do business with the Teessiders over Forshaw, a deal for Fabio could be in the pipeline.
The player came to England with Manchester United but failed to impose himself at Old Trafford, but an impressive spell in South Wales with Cardiff earned him the switch to Middlesbrough following their promotion to the Premier League. The 27-year-old is now an experienced player, and would slot seamlessly into the defensive unit at Elland Road, providing perfect competition to Gaetano Berardi. Fabio would surely be keen for the move, with the Whites certainly a club on the up, and Christiansen should look to explore a deal in the coming days.
