According to tuttomercartoweb, Stoke and Middlesbrough are set to battle it out with West Ham for the signing of young PSV striker Sam Lammers, with our resident Potters fans here in the Transfer Tavern hoping they can get the deal done most.
Lammers has earned himself the reputation of being a powerful attacking player with his strong physical frame and it’s likely that would make him a hit in the Premier League.
Whilst all three clubs have powerful forwards in the likes of Andy Carroll, Alvaro Negredo and Wilfried Bony, this potential move clearly suggests that all three managers do not want to rest on their laurels with what they have in their squads at the moment.
All three teams still have concerns about the relegation zone and will be looking to pull clear as the season progresses so if Lammers is seen as a way of doing that we should expect a real bidding war.
The striker has ten goals from 23 games for the PSV youth side and looks set for a bright future in the game.
