Middlesbrough considering January swoop for Championship striker

mccormack99The Middlesbrough fans playing in a pool tournament in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports linking them with a move for a Championship striker.

The Northern Echo is reporting that the club are considering making another move for Fulham striker Ross McCormack.

Middlesbrough were originally interested in the Scottish international during Tony Mowbray’s tenure as manager of the club, and were left frustrated by McCormack’s decision to sign a new deal with Leeds United.

McCormack ended up making a move to Fulham for a reported £11 million and the player has not looked back since that move despite numerous changes of manager during his time at Craven Cottage.

The striker has netted 15 times already this season and Aitor Karanka is believed to be ready to make a move for the striker to provide the goals to push his side on to promotion to the Premier League come May.

The Middlesbrough fans in The Transfer Tavern are delighted to be linked with McCormack, as he is a player they have always admired when they have come up against him!

Middlesbrough fans, could McCormack fire you to the Premier League? Let us know in the comments below!
