Middlesbrough will be pleased with Saturday’s result as they managed to secure all three points against Brentford at Griffin Park.
Tony Pulis has completely redefined the Teeside club in the current campaign as they continue to work towards securing promotion to the Premier League. And, to make things even better, it appears as if the club are eyeing a potential addition, as according to The Sun (via Teeside Live), Middlesbrough are interested in Dru Yearwood.
Middelsbrough are set to battle Crystal Palace for Southend midfielder Dru Yearwood’s signature.
Interestingly, Southend do not want to sell but may have to take the biggest offer, with a request to have Yearwood back on loan to continue his development
The Eagles have watched Yearwood and are admirers but it’s understood that Boro have been tipped off about the powerful player.
Boro already have a number of central midfielders at their disposal at this moment in time, but he could definitely play a big part in their future and would provide healthy competition.
Dru Yearwood has plenty of potential and has already showcased his talents in the Football League One this season, with a move to a higher division being just rewards for his efforts.
However, with Crystal Palace also interested in securing the services of the midfielder, perhaps a move to the Premier League will be too hard to turn down.
