Middlesbrough put in a dominant performance against Peterborough yesterday, which has gifted them a place in the next round of the FA Cup.
Boro will be desperate to secure a play-off spot in the Championship this season, with the January transfer window possibly holding the key. And, it looks as if Tony Pulis is eyeing a possible swoop, as according to The Sunday Mirror (page 67; 06/01) (via HITC), Middlesbrough are interested in signing Kiril Despodov.
Middlesbrough are thought to be interest in securing the services of Kiril Despodov, but they could face competition as the likes of Cardiff City and Aston Villa are also interested.
It has been reported that the 22-year-old Bulgaria international, who can operate as a winger or as a forward, is rated at £5 million.
Interestingly, the attacker currently has 10 goals and 11 assists to his name, so he could be a real asset at the Riverside Stadium in the second half of the season and in the future.
Kiril Despodov has been in sublime form this season as he continues to produce goals and assists in the current campaign, with a move to England being just reward for his efforts.
Boro have already secured the services of Rajiv Van La Parra, but Despodov has more impressive stats and the potential to grow into a future star.
