Middlesbrough fans in the bar here at the Football Transfer Tavern are eagerly awaiting the news that they have been expecting for a while now, and it appears that today may finally be the day.
Reports from Spanish newspaper, Super Deporte, are claiming that the message coming from the ‘environment’ of Valencia forward is that a deal with Boro can be reached “within hours”.
The 30-year-old, who won the Premier League title during his time at Man City, has reportedly agreed a deal with the Teesside club and now it is just down to the clubs to finalise their side of the move.
According to Super Deporte, the only thing holding the deal back is Valencia’s Sporting Director, Jesús García Pitarch’s, desire to push the price up as high as possible, with a loan move with an option to buy looking the most likely option to bring the forward back to the Premier League.
