Middlesbrough ready to move for £8m-rated Premier League star

The Middlesbrough fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping the January transfer market provides them the chance to welcome some new additions to the Riverside.

While those on Teeside are happy the club aren’t really involved in a relegation scrap just yet, the notion of some big arrivals to light up cold nights at the Riverside is a mouth-watering one.

So reports from the Nothern Echo have proved rather exciting indeed.

They claim the club are casting keen eyes over the situation of Robert Snodgrass at North East neighbours Hull City.

Stewart Downing is reportedly ready to leave his boyhood charges this month on loan and the Scotland star is said to be lined up as their preferred replacement.

West Ham have also been linked with a move for the 29-year-old midfielder, who recently penned a new deal at the KCOM Stadium though he could cost up to £8m.

Despite playing in perhaps the league’s worst team, the former Norwich City man has been in sparkling form this term, notching nine goals and recording two assists as his side bid to beat the drop.

Is there any chance Hull would sell Snodgrass? Let us know below..
