Middlesbrough are looking good at the moment to be fighting for promotion once again as Tony Pulis has an organised, well-balanced team in his grasps.
His team are playing well and with a number of quality, proven, Championship players, Middlesbrough look set to have a real chance at promotion back into the Premier League.
Of course, it can’t be forgotten that the Championship is extremely long and gruelling so Boro have to expects bumps in their way, unless of course they continue to strengthen their squad right until deadline day.
The 24-year-old has been playing the best football of his career whilst at Wigan and that leaves him with a great chance of bagging a more to a more exciting Championship side like Middlesbrough, who have a realistic chance at promotion.
Last season, Powell took League One by storm as he scored 15 goals and provided 7 assists, helping Wigan gain promotion. Even better for Wigan though, his great form has continued into the Championship, where in his opening five games, Powell has scored three times and set-up four assists for his team-mates, a great record for someone just getting used to a new league.
Despite the quality that Middlesbrough already have in midfield, Nick Powell could be the difference as an attacking midfielder, spraying balls around the pitch and through to their strikers barring down on goal.
All in all, if they want to gain promotion, then signing Nick Powell could be the missing part of the jigsaw to allow them to do so.
