Middlesbrough slipped up against Norwich City today as they were beaten 1-0 at Carrow Road.
Boro will be desperate to get back to winning ways after such a promising start to the season, with promotion to the Premier League still being the target. And, it looks as if the Championship club may have gotten one of their star players back on board, as according to Middlesbrough’s official website, Tony Pulis says he has had positive talks with Martin Braithwaite and hopes to work him back into the fold at the Riverside Stadium.
Pulis had confirmed ahead of the closure of the transfer window that the Danish forward was interested in a move away from Teesside.
However, things have changed and this is what the Boro boss had to say yesterday:
“I’m delighted that Martin’s not left and now that he’s back in the squad,” Pulis said in his weekly media conference at Rockliffe Park.
“I’ve had a good chat with him and he’s promised to get his head down and really give it a good go this year.”
The Danish striker has been deadly at times during his stint at the Riverside Stadium so they’ll be delighted that they’ve managed to keep hold of him.
Indeed, Middlesbrough will need all the firepower they can get to finally secure promotion to the Premier League, with the forward possibly playing a huge part in their campaign.
