Re-signing Mo Besic brings delight to many Middlesbrough fans

Middlesbrough fans have welcomed Mo Besic back to the Riverside Stadium on Twitter, after the Bosnian re-signed a season-long loan from Everton.

The midfielder (valued at £4.5m on Transfermarkt.co.uk) spent last season on loan in the northeast, and became a favourite amongst many fans for the passion and effort that he gives to the team.

Since joining Everton in 2014, his playing time has diminished season by season, causing him to look to the Championship for more game time.

However, after joining The Boro in January this year, he made 15 appearances in the Championship as his new club finished fifth, before losing to Aston Villa in the play-off semi-finals.

Middlesbrough are currently second in the Championship, and fans will hope that the signing of Besic will help secure their place at the top end of the table.

The Boro host West Brom tomorrow evening, so it may be to early to see the Bosnian play, but he could appear in the League Cup next week.
