Middlesbrough have certainly made a positive start to proceedings as they remain unbeaten with the international break now underway.
The Championship club missed out on reaching the play-off final in the last campaign, but they appear to have put that behind them as they push for an automatic promotion place. Indeed, Tony Pulis has been able to strengthen in pretty much all the right areas, which has certainly seen his side hit new heights so far this season.
However, the Middlesbrough boss will need to think about the futures of a couple of his players after a rather busy summer transfer window.
So, here’s a look at TWO men that should never feature for Middlesbrough again…
The striker has been suffering with an injury recently so he has failed to make an appearance for Middlesbrough in the current campaign. And, he may struggle to work his way back into Tony Pulis’ plans once he returns, as he finds himself down the pecking order.
So, Pulis may think about freezing the injury-prone Frenchman out until the January transfer window arrives, with a loan move away or a permanent exit looking likely.
Ashley Fletcher has only managed to feature off the bench and he now finds himself behind the likes of Jordan Hugill, Martin Braithwaite and Britt Asombalonga in the pecking order.
The forward spent the last campaign on loan at Sunderland, who couldn’t avoid relegation to League One.
However, it now looks as if he will no longer be a part of Pulis’ plans at the Riverside Stadium, with a January transfer window exit looking extremely likely.
