Middlesbrough have been one of the standout performers in the Championship this season, with promotion to the Premier League being a possibility.
Tony Pulis’ side haven’t been able to ensure consistency recently as they’ve thrown away a number of points, which has allowed the teams around them to build up ahead of steam. And, the club had to wave goodbye to one of its youngsters recently, as according to Middlesbrough’s official website, Tyrone O’Neill has joined Hartlepool on loan.
Interestingly, the forward has regularly featured for Boro’s Under-23s, while also starting all three games for the Under-21s in the Checkatrade Trophy, including their first-ever victory in the competition against Burton Albion.
The forward has a bright future ahead of him and could force his way into the first team if he manages to fire on all cylinders over the next month, with Tony Pulis always open to giving youth a chance.
Indeed, the Boro boss will be keen to see how he gets on during his loan spell and could even decide to extend it if things work out, which would allow him to enjoy regular minutes.
