Sheffield Wednesday enjoyed a fantastic 2019 under Steve Bruce which has given fans plenty of optimism for next season.
Rightly so as well. The first half of the campaign under Jos Luhukay was a complete write-off but now the future is definitely a lot brighter.
The ambition next season will be to try and reach the play-offs, a challenge that could be made a lot easier with some summer signings.
Transfer talk (as per the Star as recently as Friday last week) is already heating up surrounding the Owls and one particular name may be very appealing to fans.
Now out of contract, Moses Odubajo would be a brilliant signing for Sheffield Wednesday and could help solidify their back-line.
Odubajo, (who is valued at £900k on Transfermarkt) had enjoyed a stellar first campaign in a Brentford shirt, so many were surprised to see him released at the end of the season.
In football, there is clearly no time for sentiment and whilst Brentford fans may be annoyed, it’s the perfect time for Sheffield Wednesday to swoop in and claim an absolute bargain.
The 25-year-old amassed 35 appearances in total this season, where he helped keep ten clean-sheets as he played both left-back and right-back.
With great energy and darting pace, Odubajo would be a great squad option at the very least for Sheffield Wednesday.
Taking into consideration his overall quality and then the fact he would also be free means the Owls should surely have no qualms about offering the English full-back a spot in their play-off pushing team for next season.
Do you agree that Moses Odubajo would be a good signing for Sheffield Wednesday… Let us know!
