Nottingham Forest rescued a draw in their clash against fellow play-off hopefuls Preston North End to maintain the club’s unbeaten run, with one man proving a behemoth in defence.
Albert Adomah climbed off the bench to rescue a draw in the 71st minute as he latched on to a pass from Joao Carvalho to steer past Declan Rudd.
Adomah, Samba Sow and Joe Worrall all put in brilliant performances to extend the club’s unbeaten run to seven games.
Adomah came on in the 68th minute, scoring with his only shot on goal, while Sow came on to complete the joint-second most dribbles and attempt the joint-most tackles (6) in the Forest side (via WhoScored).
Joe Worrall was a beast at the back, as he led Sabri Lamouchi’s defence well. The Englishman made the joint-most interceptions, clearances and blocks, as well as losing the ball just once (via WhoScored).
However, his experienced partner and captain Michael Dawson played just as well without collecting much of the plaudits.
The veteran centre-half proved a calm influence on the ball, having 38 touches without losing the ball. Dawson also defended well making the joint-most clearances showing his defensive nous at the back (via WhoScored).
Nottinghamshire Live believed that Dawson didn’t perform as well as he has this season, however, still gave him a seven out of 10.
They said: “Not as effective as he has been this season. Not a bad performance at all though.” (via Nottinghamshire Live).
Dawson has shown his worth to the Reds this season, and his experience can be crucial for the club in attempting to achieve promotion.
