Nottingham Forest fans were congratulating defender Matty Cash after he was named in the EFL team of the week following the club’s 3-2 win away to Stoke City.
Goals from Joe Lolley, Sammy Ameobi and Lewis Grabban were enough for the Reds to see off the Potters and temporarily move to the top of the Championship on Friday night (via BBC).
Cash enjoyed a brilliant display at the Bet365 Stadium, attempting the most passes, making the joint-third most clearances and the joint-most blocks of any Nottingham Forest player (via WhoScored).
Forest have enjoyed a brilliant start to the season, winning five, drawing three and losing just one of their nine league games so far this season.
Fans congratulated the 22-year-old after his inclusion in the team of the week as they took to Twitter to react.
