Nottingham Forest fans were happy with the reported price fetched for departing forward Arvin Appiah, who moved to Spain to join UD Almeria.
According to Nottinghamshire Live, the 18-year-old winger has moved to the Spanish side for a fee believed to be in the region of £8m.
The youngster was also thought to have been a target for Manchester United, who were taunted by his new club Almeria, who tweeted: “We are sorry @ManUtd_ES, Arvin Appiah is red and white.”
Appiah came through the academy at Nottingham Forest, and made eight appearances, scoring one goal for the first-team in his time at the City Ground (via Transfermarkt).
The 18-year-old becomes the 15th player to leave the East Midlands this summer, with Sabri Lamouchi’s side recouping more than £12m in transfer fees.
The Forest faithful seem to be over the moon with the transfer fee fetched for Appiah, as they took to Twitter to give their reactions.
