The Newcastle official Twitter account tweeted out a video showing goalkeeper Karl Darlow saving a penalty from former Forest striker Nicklas Bendtner.
The Geordies lost to the Reds after goals from the Danish forward and an own goal from Jamaal Lascelles secured a 2-1 win for Forest (via BBC).
The game was full of controversy after Rafael Benitez’s side had two men sent off, with Jonjo Shelvey and Paul Dummett both seeing red.
Following the loss to the Championship outfit, Benitez lambasted the decisions made against his team, labelling them ‘difficult to understand’.
It seems the Forest fans were quick to remind the Newcastle fans who won the game after the tweet from the Premier League club, taking to Twitter to react.
