Nottingham Forest and Reading fans here in the Transfer Tavern are pretty optimistic for very different reasons.
While the Royals are going strong under Jaap Stam and have genuine play-off ambitions this season, the Tricky Trees have just appointed Mark Warburton and are hopeful of moving clear of the dreaded drop zone over the coming weeks.
However, at least one fanbase will be left disappointed this summer if reports from the Daily Mail are to be believed, with the two Championship sides both in the hunt for Fulham’s Ryan Tunnicliffe.
The 24-year-old is set to be a free agent this summer when his Cottagers contract expires, meaning that, as things stand, he might not play another game in west London as he’s currently away on loan at Wigan.
As well as Forest and Reading, Huddersfield, Brentford, QPR, Ipswich and Cardiff are said to be interested, while Rangers are also mooted as potential suitors in the Daily Mail’s report.
