Nottingham Forest fans were more than pleased after their side drew Arsenal away in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
The draw was a reward for beating East Midlands rivals Derby County 3-0 in the second round. Goals from Albert Adomah, Joe Lolley and Joao Carvalho was enough, as Sabri Lamouchi’s side swept aside their Championship rivals.
The win over Derby County extended Forest’s unbeaten run to six games, with their only defeat coming in the opening Championship game of the season, a 2-1 loss at home to West Bromwich Albion.
Nottingham Forest have a recent history with Arsenal, knocking them out of the FA Cup third round back in 2018 after beating them 4-2. Eric Lichaj, Ben Brereton and Kieran Dowell were the goalscorers on that day.
Fans seem to be relishing the opportunity of playing Arsenal again and feel confident they can pull off another shock result.
