Nottingham Forest: Fans slam Lyle Taylor as Grabban news emerges

A lot of Nottingham Forest fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by The Athletic’s Paul Taylor which relayed the news that Reds striker Lewis Grabban has returned to full training with Chris Hughton’s side.
Prior to Tuesday’s clash with Sheffield Wednesday, Grabban last featured for Forest in their East Midlands derby clash with Derby County on 23rd October, with the 32-year-old sustaining a hip injury during that game which led to him being substituted at half time.
As this update on the centre-forward emerged, the Reds had scored fewer goals than all but two other second-tier sides this term and though summer signing Lyle Taylor scored more of those goals than any other Forest player, that didn’t stop plenty of Reds fans from directing some negativity towards him in response to this update.
So, what did these Nottingham Forest fans have to say about Taylor as this news emerged?
Many Reds fans criticised Taylor in response to this news and indicated that they don’t think he can hold a candle to last season’s top league goalscorer.
Check out some of the best Twitter reactions down below, where one supporter said Grabban is a ‘massive upgrade’…
Far greater ability on the ball than Taylor

We really need him back fit. Taylor isn’t anywhere near good enough to replace him. He’s ok for back up

At least he holds the ball up. its like a pinball machine with Taylor

Massive upgrade on Taylor. And hoped getting better service than he was at the start of the season.

How can be it be anything other than positive? Three times the striker Taylor is and we are miles more of a goal threat with him in the side – great news #nffc
