Nottingham Forest picked up a vital three points against Leeds on Saturday but it is very possible that they would not have done so without Brice Samba.
The goalkeeper has been one of the signings of the summer given he came to the City Ground as a relative unknown from Ligue 2 Caen and has now kept 12 clean sheets in 29 games for the club. His double save against Leeds was a fine example of the quality he possesses, first showing brilliant reactions in the second half to get down and save Liam Cooper’s free header before punching the ball clear on the line when it seemed goal-bound.
🙅♂️ Some stop from @samba_brice

It may have been unorthodox but the 25-year-old displayed brilliant improvisation to keep the ball out and he was positive throughout in coming to collect the ball, which also proved crucial to the clean sheet. Forest have lost just six out of the 27 league games in which he has featured, another statistic which highlights Samba’s effectiveness and indicates that Forest may be able to achieve promotion.
Many fans were very impressed with his showing against Leeds, with a few of their reactions to his save shown below.
