Nottingham Forest: Fans lavish praise on Yuri Ribeiro’s West Brom display

Nottingham Forest came away from the Hawthorns with a point in dramatic fashion on Saturday after Matty Cash fired in an excellent last-minute equaliser.
It was a hard-fought battle between the two sides and one player who has picked up a lot of plaudits is Forest’s other full-back, Yuri Ribeiro.
Both he and Cash were absent from the starting line-up in the mid-week defeat to Charlton and it is little surprise that their return brought more defensive solidity to the side, even if they did concede two goals. However, Ribeiro’s three interceptions prevented the scoreline from being worse, while he also contributed to the attack with two key passes.
The Portuguese defender has contributed in those areas on a regular basis this term, with an average of 1.1 interceptions, 1.1 tackles and 1.4 key passes per league game, per WhoScored.
It is little surprise that he is receiving praise from the Forest fanbase, therefore, particularly as he handled the threat of Matheus Pereira well against the Baggies, a player who has made 18 goal contributions this season.
Are Nottingham Forest a bigger club than Leeds?
Yes
