Nottingham Forest have been dealt a setback in terms of recent results but things could get even worse for their promotion campaign due to the injuries to four first team players.
BBC Nottingham Sport report that Samba Sow, Lewis Grabban, Sammy Ameobi and Nuno Du Costa all have issues troubling them currently and it is feared that they could be ruled out of action.
Sabri Lamouchi will likely be very concerned by this development. After all, Grabban is Forest’s top scorer on 16 league goals and his side have won just 19 points in the 18 games in which Sow hasn’t featured. They are clearly both important players whose quality will likely be missed in a period where the Reds can’t afford to lose any more ground, since Bristol City lie just three points behind them in seventh place.
Grabban and Sow are both believed to be struggling with knee problems, which is concerning given the striker recently missed the match against Charlton because of that reason, while Sow has struggled for fitness throughout the season because of knee trouble.
Ameobi has also experienced difficulty with his hip since the draw against QPR, and his nine-goal contributions from 27 league starts show how his direct running and unpredictable style have served his side well this campaign.
Lamouchi may have some tinkering to do and the likes of Tyler Walker and Joao Carvalho could get their chance to shine once more, having occupied places on the bench recently.
Some supporters may be keen on seeing the Portuguese in action having discussed the positive attributes of his game recently, and he could prove vital in upcoming matches, having averaged the second-highest number of dribbles for the Reds (1.4 per WhoScored) last season.
