Nottingham Forest will want to ensure they target some new, fresh players to join their promotion battle during the January transfer window.
A real shake-around has happened at the City Ground in the month of January but there is still hope that the club can achieve their ambition of reaching the Premier League.
Having spent a lot of money in the summer trying to do just that, it’s obvious to see that things haven’t all gone according to plan, with Nottingham Forest lurking outside the play-off places.
Nevertheless, there is still plenty of time for Forest to emerge into the top six and a player who could help that ambition come to fruition is Southampton’s Mohamed Elyounoussi.
Elyounoussi, (who is valued at £13.5 million on Transfermarkt) could get the chance to re-write his wrongs in England, proving that his spell with Southampton will not define him.
After setting the Swiss league alight last season, things have gone rapidly downhill in Mohamed Elyounoussi’s career – seeing as he’s without a goal or assist in 15 appearances for Southampton this season, a club he became the second most expensive signing for.
The man who scored 13 goals and laid-on 17 assists last season definitely has the ability but now he needs to go out and prove just that.
It’s extremely worrying for Southampton and Elyounoussi at the moment with the club in relegation danger, so loaning him out maybe a good idea at this stage as they bid to find someone more suited to the Premier League would be a sensible idea.
