Many Nottingham Forest fans were buzzing over a video of Jack Hobbs’ goal and celebration against Derby in September 2013 posted by the club’s official Twitter account.
In the club’s ‘Celebration of the Day’ segment, Forest tweeted a throwback video of the only goal scored in their match against the Rams at the City Ground seven years ago. The goalscorer and match winner was Hobbs, who nodded in at the near post following a lovely inswinging corner from Andy Reid.
Forest went on keep their slim lead and take all three points from the visitors after Richard Keogh was given his marching orders in the second half (via BBC Sport).
Will Nottingham Forest be promoted this season?
Hobbs’ header against the Rams was his only goal for Forest and it is indeed a memorable one. Many fans were reliving the moment at the City Ground and reminiscing over the centre-back’s time with the club. One supporter has said ‘shame he was broken’, referring to the several injuries he sustained.
Check out the reactions from other Forest fans below:

Yeah, he was proper. I remember seeing him play in the friendly against Royal Antwerp and it was clear that we had a player on our hands. He wasn’t even close to being the same after his ankle went. So many little things stopped that Forest team achieving what it could’ve.

Absolutely. His only goal for us I think, shame he was broken.
