It’s been an incredibly busy summer for Nottingham Forest so far as they look to plot a return to the top flight of English football for the first time in almost 20 years. Indeed, after a miserable campaign last time out, those behind the scenes at the City Ground have launched a major overhaul of the club’s playing staff, to give Aitor Karanka the best chance of winning promotion.
Ten new faces have arrived at the City Ground as Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes tries to replicate the success he’s had with Wolves on the banks of the River Trent and Reds fans all around must be buzzing with excitement. The likes of Joao Carvalho, Gil Dias and Diogo Goncalves look to be serious coups for Forest and the captures of experienced individuals such as Lewis Grabban and Michael Dawson add that all-important Championship experience.
However, it’s not all been a case of incomings this summer. Indeed, the club recently confirmed the departure of winger Barrie McKay to divisional rivals Swansea City. A Mark Warburton signing, the Scotland international failed to convince at the City Ground despite a strong start last summer and the former Rangers man will now link up with Graham Potter’s Swans side as they plot their own return to the Premier League.
With that in mind, here’s a look at how fans on Twitter reacted to McKay’s sale.
Thank god for that shocking player at best, think league ones his level, light weight gets knocked all over, looses interest if some hurts him, don’t track back and tackle, head down type of player, only showed up for a few games last season

Love the lack of any sentiment on the news article! Bad attitude behind the scenes?

What a waste he is. Will do the exact same as Swansea.
