Nottingham Forest: Fans react to Joe Lolley’s post on Twitter

Joe Lolley took to Twitter to share his disappointment following Nottingham Forest’s defeat to Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon, which led to a number of fans sharing their sympathies with the attacker.
So frustrating to not come away with something from the game football for you

The Tricky Trees were beaten 1-0 by the Welsh outfit when Nathaniel Mendez-Laing found the back of the net inside the opening 15 minutes of the encounter (BBC).
Sabri Lamouchi’s side pushed for an equaliser, however they could not break down the defensive wall Neil Harris’ side built and had to come away disappointed that they could not get the points as they continue to push for an automatic promotion spot.
Lolley tried to make things happen for the City Ground outfit and appeared to have a stellar performance for Forest on the right of the pitch, although his impressive contribution ultimately failed to pay dividends.
According to the data collected by WhoScored, the 27-year-old managed to have four shots on goal (of which none were on target), whilst he made seven key passes, completing 87.8% of the 53 total balls he played.
Fans were encouraging of his performance on Twitter after seeing the message he uploaded, with many suggesting that it was not the player’s fault and that they would put it right in their next game – which is away to Millwall.
Here are just some of their reactions…
Can’t help it @JLolley23 when they play with 9 men in the box and 5/6 men in the back at times.

Thought you were very good today joe. It was anti football from Cardiff but you have to take it on the chin.
