Nottingham Forest striker Lewis Grabban could return to the starting line up versus Hull City tonight, according to the BBC.
Can Sabri Lamouchi sustain a promotion push?
The forward missed the loss away to Wigan Athletic after he was left on the bench for the loss against Wigan Athletic on Sunday afternoon.
Sabri Lamouchi is also boosted by news concerning Michael Dawson, Ryan Yates and Alfa Semedo, all of whom are closing in on returns to the side.
Ahead of tonight’s game, Forest will be looking to make it three wins in a row against the Tigers for the first time since December 1955.
The return of Grabban couldn’t be more of a boost for Lamouchi ahead of what is a crucial encounter in the race for promotion. West Bromwich Albion, Leeds United, Swansea City and Queens Park Rangers all failed to win last night meaning a victory would take the Reds into the automatic promotion places.
Putting the £4.05m-rated (per Transfermarkt) Grabban in the starting line up would provide the City Ground side with the best chance after his storming season. The 31-year-old averages the most shots per game this season for Forest, showing his importance in forward areas (via WhoScored).
However, it is his attacking quality which makes him a talisman for the side. In the game away to Fulham earlier this season, Grabban scored two goals with just three shots on target as he showed his potency in front of goal.
Grabban’s attacking quality will be needed as Forest look to climb into the automatic promotion spots and take a leap over their promotion rivals in the chase for Premier League football.
