Sabri Lamouchi made a bold call last night in deciding to make several changes to the side that beat Leeds on Saturday and it didn’t pay off at all.
Nottingham Forest lost 1-0 to Charlton and looked lacklustre throughout, although they did have chances to score and perhaps should have taken something out of the match, managing 17 shots to the visitors’ 11. One enforced change saw Tyler Walker start in place of the injured Lewis Grabban, the 23-year-old’s first start for the club this season after spending the first half of the campaign on loan at Lincoln.
It was a great chance for Walker to impress but he didn’t make the most of it, first-touching the ball just wide of the post before another strike from yards out was saved by Dillon Phillips in the Addicks’ goal. Some supporters criticised the striker after the match, but they should at least appreciate that he is getting into goalscoring positions, and with a bit more luck he may be able to start delivering if Grabban is out for the foreseeable future.
Here is some of the reaction to Walker’s performance.
Hold on a minute.
He missed 2 glorious chances to get us back in the game. One of them he hasn’t even hit the target from inside the 6 yard box.
This isn’t a man who’s come in from the cold either he’s played weekly.
He looked average and bullied.

Thought I was the only one who thought Walker was not good enough, didn’t think he had improved since last spell in team.. There a reason he is loaned out so many times.
