Nottingham Forest fans will agree that some consistency would be nice at this stage in their side’s season, with most of the teams above them constantly picking up points.
Although, the Midlands club took a step in the right direction last time out against Swansea City as they managed to secure a 2-1 victory in what was a very tight encounter at the City Ground.
And, Martin O’Neill’s men will be looking to keep up the pace later on today as they’ll travel to the New York Stadium to face Rotherham United. The Millers will be low on confidence after their last outing against Derby County as they were beaten 6-1 at Pride Park, so Forest should see this as a very winnable game.
However, O’Neill will need to think long and hard about his team selection prior to kick-off as one player in particular failed to have a positive impact last time out.
With that in mind, the Forest boss needs to drop this man…
BENCH TENDAYI DARIKWA
Tendayi Darikwa, who is valued at £1.35 million (by Transfermarkt), has been the first-choice left-back at the City Ground in the current campaign, and it’s safe to say that he’s done a solid job.
However, his performance against Swansea City last time out raised a few alarm bells as he was given a torrid time by the lively Daniel James, who caused all sorts of problems down the Swans’ left side.
Of course, with the play-off race heating up and a tough fixture against Rotherham United coming up later on today, it’s vital that O’Neill drops the right-back as a repeat of his last performance could prove costly.
