West Brom are sure to challenge for promotion and could do that well by recruiting the correct players during the January transfer window.
Darren Moore’s side, like every other team in the promotion hunt, will be desperate to find some consistency as the season rapidly continues.
Games are thick and fast in the Championship and with plenty still to play, West Brom must seize the opportunity to improve their squad before the window closes.
Especially now that Harvey Barnes has been re-called by Leicester – early from his loan spell at the Hawthorns – the club need to find a top replacement.
Another player who finds himself back with his parent club is Liverpool’s Ben Woodburn and West Brom could be the club to give him another chance.
Woodburn, (who is valued at £4.5 million on Transfermarkt) had a very mixed time on-loan with Sheffield United, playing well at times but then being shipped back to Liverpool the next minute.
For a very highly rated youngster, Ben Woodburn will be desperate just to get out onto the pitch, understanding how the game works and what he still needs to do in order to improve.
The Welshman can fulfil the hole that Harvey Barnes left in the number ten role, as well as being able to play on the wing.
Just because he had one unsuccessful loan spell, it doesn’t and shouldn’t spell the end for Ben Woodburn, he must continue trying in order to get better as a player.
West Brom are similarly in a promotion push alike Woodburn’s former loan side Sheffield Wednesday but with a slot available for the youngster to play regularly, it may be a deal worth pushing through if you’re Darren Moore.
